All denaturants offered comply to the new Customs & Excise regulation Notice 473.
Industrial Denatured Alcohol (IDA) formerly know as Industrial Methylated Spirits (IMS).

Industrial denatured alcohol (IDA) is the grade of denatured alcohol designed for industrial use. It consists of 95 parts by volume of alcohol and 5 parts by volume of wood naphtha, or a substitute for wood naphtha.

For the manufacture of IDA we can offer:

JMM ‘T’ 1% Concentrate

Supplied in 205 litre drums or 1,000 litre IBC’s. To make Wood Naphtha from JMM ‘T’ mix as follows:

74% Methanol 25% Ethanol 1% Concentrate 100% Wood Naphtha.
(IDA) is then made by mixing 5 parts Wood Naphtha to 95 parts Ethanol.

JMM ‘TLM’ 3% Concentrate

For the manufacture of Methanol Free (IDA).
Supplied in 205 litre drums and 1,000 litre IBC’s. To make Wood Naphtha from JMM‘T’ 3% mix as follows:

97% Ethanol 3% Concentrate (2% Tertiary Butanol + 1% Concentrate) 100% Wood Naphtha.
(IDA) is then made by mixing 5 parts Wood Naphtha to 95 parts Ethanol.

JMM ‘DBF’ 1% Concentrate

For the manufacture of (IDA) where Bitrex is not acceptable.
Supplied in 205 litre drums and 1,000 litre IBC’s. The Wood Naphtha is made up in exactly the same way as JMM ‘T’ (Wood Naphtha).

For the manufacture of IDA.
Supplied in 205 litre drums and bulk deliveries.
Made up from either JMM ‘T’ or JMM ‘DBF’ (IDA) is then made by mixing 5 parts Wood Naphtha to 95 parts Ethanol.
