Chris is our Managing Director with over 40 years’ experience in the alcohol industry.

Ben is the grandson of our founder and a keen rugby enthusiast and referee.

History
Founded in 1975 by Joseph Mills, our company has a rich heritage in the ethanol and alcohol industry, with the Mills family having been involved in the production and sale of alcohol for over 120 years. Originally, the family owned a distillery, initially in Stockport and then later at Garston in Liverpool. Following the sale of that site the current business was started, initially with a focus on the production of denaturant formulations. Over the years, it expanded to include ethanol for both the food and beverage sectors, as well as various industrial applications. Still based in Merseyside, we operate from several sites across the UK.
In the early 2000s we started working closely with Tereos France, one of the largest manufacturers of ethanol in Europe – a partnership that has been crucial to our growth and success.
Despite the changes and growth over the years, our core values remain the same: the customer is our focus, and we strive to differentiate ourselves from the competition through exceptional service.
Our success is also attributed to the strong relationships we have built with our partner warehouses and haulage companies, who play a key role in ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to upholding the principles that have guided us for the past five decades.
